About The Poet:
I started writing in high school. My early influences were the Beatles, the Zombies, Simon and Garfunkel, John Keats, Dylan Thomas and many more. After almost exclusively writing free verse and having much of it published for over 30 years, I found myself somewhat burned out with the literary world and those fretful, empty verses. However, in 2002, I suddenly discovered cowboy poetry. Although having only sporadic rural roots, I felt an instant infinity for the cowboy poetry genre. Now, some 660+ poems later, I've just published my 4th book of cowboy poetry (I had 2 earlier books of free verse). In my real life, I was employed for nearly 25 years as a rural country real estate writer. That ended last July with the downsizing of my company and America itself. We can only hope our future ranges will remain free and open.
