About The Poet:
I am 59 years old and am semi-retired in Orlando Florida. I spent 20 years of my young life serving our country in the U.S. Navy. Since my retirement from the Navy in 1989 I have labored in amny different kinds or works...you know, trying to find my niche, as it were.
Two years ago I stopped working full time and I work part time at a local golf course. It's not a bad gig, work a couple days a week and get all you golf for free.
I haven't written much lately due to the fact that I am struggling with clinical depression brought on by the fact that my 37 year old son is dying from Stage Four lung cancer. The medications I am on help keep me functional but not necessarily creative.
I could bore you with more but I will turn the tap off in this section.
Thank you for your comments on my poem, although I would like to tell you that I refuse to stick to a guideline when I write and I refuse to flow ,I challenge myself to always be different and I try to stray from the dull heartbeat of the average poem.I believe a poem is what your soul puts on paper and it has no rhyme or reason.Thank you again .I would very much like to read something you have written .
Princess had told me about you and that you have had a book published. She was on ESPN under my name and said that you might check out the site.
I am so happy to have you here especially after reading some of your work. My vocabulary is very limited as a writer and yours becomes a challenge and a learning experience.
I hope one day to meet you as you come across as a very intelligent and imaginative person who likes to make works that are fun and lively.
