Love Poems are by far the Most Touching!

This week we are going to write Poetry about Pets and our love for them. Pets are not just Pets they are a part of the family who in their wonderful way just keep giving us love each day. They don't judge us, they forgive us for not being perfect, in fact the only thing they want is to be with us

Dogs Love Unconditionally

Now matter how old we get, no matter how sick we are, they stick by our sides through everything.Often it is us that take them for granted as we drive to the park with our kids leaving them behind. Still they wait,their tails wag, and they are happy to have us home.

My Pet Story!

Shorty was one of those pets and I fought the idea of keeping her but had a hard time saying "No" to the kids. We kept her and she became part of the family quickly as the love she gave was abundant. She would wait for me at the door when I got home. She would jump up on me when I was laying on the couch. She always wanted to be as close as she could get to us and she did.

Shorty is in my heart and will always be a love family member. Just a couple of weeks ago when I was out of town my wife called me and said Shorty was bleeding really bad. Shorty had been shot by someone and was dying. There was nothing we could do except call the police for assistance. My wife called the Police and they came out and verified shorty was shot and was in bad condition. It apparently had tore through her stomach and intestines.

The police said the only thing to be done is to put her out of her misery. AS the kids and my wife huddled in the house the officer shot at Shorty 2 Times. It apparently didn't kill her or he missed. Our best guess is he closed his eyes when he shot and missed her all together. So for the next 5-10 minutes my wife and kids had to listen to her Yelping and crying out as they beat her with a club.

My wife has not slept good for weeks as she can still hear Shorty crying out for help. Me, I cry often as I think about how she was a blessing for our family and how she was taken from us. Her last moments in this world is nothing less then Torture.

Shorty I Miss you as do all the Kids. We love you more then we can even explain, you are and will always be in our hearts and in our memories till the day we can no longer think.

This would probably be a good way to make and meet some great friends with interests of your own. In time if someone gets enough poets signed up in their area I will create for them a sister site so they have the opportunity to have their own Online Poetry Site.

Promote your poetry and writing by using the extra tools that are on your completed poem page. These tools will let you bring traffic to your poems and help your audience to grow.


Poets Make Good Musicians
Music has a way of touching those who listen, those who play and those who want to play. Many of us have attempted to learn an instrument but most have failed. There are the few though that are very passionate about their instruments. They pick it up and never put it down. As an online poet you already have the ability to work with words and paint them in such a fashion that many of your poems could become songs.

 Maybe it's time you looked into an instrument and took your poems to a higher level!


The best way to be read is by reading other Poets and Writers Works

One of the best ways to become a better writer is to become a better reader. There is many benefits to this as your writing will improve and also your readership will most certainly grow. The rule of thumb for poets is for every poem written you should read and comment on at least 5 other poems.

Scams happen everyday as Online Poetry Sites try to lure you in and collect some money from you. It is hard to avoid these scams as they come directly to your writing and your abilities. Of course your work is great but when they suggest you pay a penny for anything including shipping for prizes this should send up a red flag. The truth about good poetry is it is written without the intent of profitting from the work. It is written from the heart and to entertain the people who read your poems.

Poetryscriber is a Non Profit, Mom Scam site that will never try to lie or decieve you about your work especially to try and take money from you. Any money made will go directly to the site and the tools to help all the writers write to their best abilities.

Scams are everywhere - sad but true you will be scammed at most poetry sites as they try to tell you you've earned a spot in there book adn all it will cost you to see your poem in the book is for you to buy that $50  dollar book. Unfortunately everyone is told the same thing you are unless their work is just awful. So for the average to great writer you will all be offered the Poetic Scam and most will fall for it.

Dont let Poetry Scams deviate your writing instead ask us how your work is and if you should consider publishing a poetry book. Get an honest opinion and write until your collection is large enough to fill a book. Believe in yourself and write as much as possible but don't fall for and scam as they are easy to spot. First they congradulate you then they try to sell you stuff. Winners never pay only people getting scammed pay!

Use your abilities and write as much online poetry as you can but make sure you are writing to your ability. It is not the quantity of poems you produce but the quality that will grow your readership.
