"Breast Cancer" is this weeks Poetry Topic. Last month might have been Breast Cancer awareness month but this week it has hit home.
My wife, the love of my life has a bump the doctors are concerned about and want her to have a test. The test we discovered is as much as $8000 and we have no insurance.
This has us both wondering how a country that is a leader in the World can forget about its own people. How many are there that cant get necessary testing or treatment?
As the man of the household I have failed my love, my family and myself. The only thing I can do is write and hope people stay aware of the problem year round. Those in need should be taken care of and there should not be such an unaffordable price for life.
Please join me and spread the word for the poor, the lower middle class, and those who are denied treatment because they cant afford it!
