Blind Sided
I threw the first stone,
shattered the two-way mirror
brought seven years bad luck
from two years of stupid
The agony of defeat descends
dark depths in hypnotic hyperlinks,
far beyond the realm of blinks
air writes movement
in condescending poetry
along vacant alley-ways
…words stroking my muse in the
breath of breezes and occasional echoes
life pressed between fingers
yesterday's dreams fight with fate
and the stars become angry as clouds
make confessions to Madam X in dim
lit rooms
small pieces of rainbow break off
in the mist of an expressionless faces
milling about looking for a place to belong
on the blind side of a two-way mirror
remnants of flesh change rhythm in the
reflection of magical mad moments
a brush stroke of solitude kisses ink stains,
ill at ease with today
in random thoughts of crisp white
as the night ceases silently
busted walls, rusted chains and barbed wire cages
meeting at blank ends
unraveling time
it's all a blur…
out of sight, out of mind
along strange avenues with ghostly light
as blue on black fades
I threw the first stone,
shattered the two-way mirror
on a mission to find the other side of me
