I hear a voice from somewhere close by. Yet not a face anywhere in sight. He must be speaking to someone else. It couldn't be my name he said. I say this with sadness for it's never my name he calls.
Again? Tonight? Like most nights, I lay here alone. Am I even here at all? I doubt he even knows.
He continues on as nothing is wrong. And as usual the night lingers on.
So confused, my mind is racing. So many bad thoughts, thousands of questions, hell I don't even want to know.
So, I stay silent, continuing to listen, hoping to hear a voice from somewhere on the other side of the room.
