Sitting in his office chair looking at the time,
Adam rushes to the time clock to punch out.
All excited for his and Rachel's anniversary date,
he heads toward the door.
Walking to the car, his boss runs outside to stop him.
"You've got a phone call Adam,"
while handing him the phone.
At this point in time,
the hospital tells him that his wife is in a coma.
There was a shooting at wal-mart,
and she got hit.
Running a few red lights,
he rushed to the emergency room.
By the time he got there,
it was too late.
Falling to his knees,
they tell him that she was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Not wanting to go hime,
he drives around town wondering why him.
What did he do wrong in life to make God take away the thing he loved the most.
Stopping the car,
he realized he was home.
Not wanting to go inside,
he gets out of his car.
He walks into the kitchen,
finding something on the table.
Slowly taking a few steps closer,
he finds one single red rose on top of a note.
Holding the rose close to his chest,
he starts to cry.
The letter read:
"Hey sweet Adam, Happy Anniversary!!! Well since I cant wait any longer, I have a surprise for you. After 5 years, we are finally going to have a baby! I have been waiting for this special moment to tell you. Well I am going to run to wal-mart to pick up something for our anniversary dinner. I am making your favorite. i will be back in a couple hours. I love you so much baby. Yours Forever, Rachel"
