THE TRAGEDIES
Our teenage years are filled with unwanted pain,
Unwanted tragedies and unwanted space.
It seemed like forever we haven't smiled,
Or heard 'I love you' from neither mom nor dad.
We often live life for our loved ones,
For their smile or simply the kind words they share with us.
But when we are faced with sudden tragedies,
We almost want to give up and be filled with endless melancholy.
It hurts…,It hurts real bad,
When your pet fish dies,
Or seeing dad walking out the front door for the last time.
It hurts so bad,
When mom dies of Breast cancer,
Or the love of your life leaves you for your best friend.
We are left with nothing more than pain,
Nothing more than a mirror of incessant pain.
Nothing more than a colour-faded wall,
Filled with pictures of our broken hearts destroyed by pain.
It seems so impossible for us to have Patience and Faith during these times,
But it's the only remedy that would cure us for life,
It's the only remedy here to numb this pain,
So that we could live life again.
