Wanting to move away from the pain, holding my tongue and feeling the shame. When I didn't hear your cry coming from your room, I knew you were Gone too soon.
Wanting to awake from this awful dream, hoping to hold you again and to my surprise it seems although your body still here had no trace of your sweet smile, and when you left me my body fell to the ground in a pile.
I tried to make believe that what had happened wasn't true and that you were still here and I'd see your eyes shine through, but the coldness of your hands made me realize I was wrong and in that moment I knew my little girl was gone.
Always know I love you with every breath and breathe and until I take that last breath, Ashley Dawn in my heart always you will be.
