She cries in the corner of a darkened room.
Wiping tears and dabbing at her wounds.
Struggling to find a reason why.
What had she done to him tonight?
was dinner cold was it the wine.
was the dress she had worn not right.
She goes over it again in her mind trying to piece it together.
at 6 they had dinner ,she did the dishes ,changed from her dress to a sweater.
around 8 they sat on the sofa watching a movie of love and romance.
she remembered how she commented on the leading man.
Then from out of nowhere his love turned to rage .
Now she cowers in a corner with her still bleeding face.
She should have known better she thinks to herself ,and cries even harder .
I make him so angry its my fault each time I push him farther.
He said that he was sorry maybe if I try harder to please him
Maybe he wont ....please GOD dont let him hit me again.
She gets up and cares for her wounds and goes on like nothing was wrong.
A week goes by and and then a month and before to long
Her family stands circled around a coffin of white.
You see this time he went to far ,this time he took her life.
Noone knew about her secret hell,she never said a word.
Now they wonder if they had known could they have saved her.
Her mother wants answers her father wants revenge.
They need closure but this nightmare wont end.
because in another place yet another woman cries alone in the dark.
Blaming herself for pushing him to far.
