Somewhere he waits patiently for her to arrive,
hoping that she wont see the tension in his eyes.
he never thought he would be waiting for someone again,
but passing up a chance like this ,he thought might be the end.
What will she be like ,he often thought about it.
Would she be the one hed never forget?
Somewhere shes getting ready heres her chance,
to catch and meet his wanting glance.
So many times shes walked out that door.
Hoping this time wont be like the times before,
shes ready to take those final steps and see what the night has instore.
The thought of him denying her makes it hard she hides a frown.
One last look in the mirror at her satin gown.
Shes off on her way,she stops for a moment ,what ifs cloud her mind.
She tries to control the emotions inside.
He sees her coming and walks toward her slowly.
He reaches out his hand nervously.
They walk off into the night as if theyd always known one another.
Each of them hungry from the thought of the other.
Is this a wish answered for two hearts waiting desperatly?
