The house across town : Adult Poetry

written by Poet : teeteebear

This poem is in loving memory of David Blackwell.

Someone full of hatred and rage has taken a life. In the distance you can hear the sound of a mothers cry. So full of life ,he had hopes and dreams ,you can hear the people rave. The mother bows her head others start to pray. She cries out for some answers but there are none for this crime. A case of mistaken identity ,he was in the wrong place at the wrong time.       In another part of town theres the sound of laughter and cheer. As the monster that pulled the trigger sits without fear. To his friends hes a leader so they give him applause. "The gun was my reason "he says ,"there was no cause". There is no guilt not one ounce of shame. Some say hes innocent societies to blame.       There is no reason or possible explanation you can give. When you take away someones right to live.     In that house across town noone understands. How taking a life makes you a man!!!
