I am screaming out for those who have lost their tongues.
Buried deep inside theirselves,locked far from the sun.
They take the blade and cut themselves ,waiting to bleed.
They get lost in the ritual and the cuts thinking pain is released.
Who hears them who notices,Emo is what they call this affliction.
We have given a cute name to a frightening addiction.
Our children are cutting their arms and their legs out of confusion.
You can deny it all you want this is no illusion .
As parents we tend to think it is not our child so who gives a shit.
But it is our child and the scars on their wrist proves it.
They are screaming for release and we cant hear their cries.
Is it because we a lost in our own lives.
I hope we can stop this somehow before its to late.
Before another confused teenager cuts her life away.
