will my damned heart listen to my brain?
Intelligence calls the same name.
Stop!
But, my heart keeps rolling through the caution light.
Causing wrecks.
Colliding with all reason.
My affection leaves my head in pain.
Tears swell behind my eyes
refusing to drain.
Pressure builds behind the dam my heart built.
The wall erodes away my pride.
Chipping the crust
to reveal broken insides.
Oh, heart keep your silence.
For you are not true
you promise only lies
in all that you do.
Listen to the honesty common sense gives.
Allow this relationship to die
and we both may live.
