The Door Do not consider The door as closed For when I left my body My spirit arose And my soul survives It breathes past time Beyond earthly moments Outside my bodies confines Still, I understand you I soothe your tears I realize your pain And quiet your fears I listen silently While you speak to me I cradle you in my arms As sadness flees I hear your laughter Encourage your dreams Motivate your triumphs Inspire your esteem We will only be separated But a little while Till’ then provide me The joy of your smile I am within your heart Just unlock the door And it will remain open For you… evermore.
