Dear God,
It is nearing Andrea’s birthday
She would have been fifteen
So much we would have done
If this birthday she had seen.
So since you decided you need her
Then we are making a request
That to make this birthday special
There are some things we need addressed.
Make sure to get her birthday cake
At the Dairy Queen
And head over to The Buckle
And purchase her some jeans.
She’ll need a balloon-a-gram
From her family
And make sure to tuck in extra cash
From her dad and me.
We promised her a cell phone
Now that she is getting older
And if she goes over her minutes
Make sure that you scold her.
She likely needs an iTune card
There are loads of new songs
I know she would have loved
That have recorded since she has gone.
Invite lots of girls to her party
And make sure it’s really loud
Because we want to hear her laughter
Torrent from the clouds.
