Andrea’s Birthday

Happy birthday Andrea

I vow to celebrate

The day God gave His gift of you

Each year November eighth.

I will light a candle

From this year and forever

And think on all the happy times

That we had together.

I will lend my face to the wind

And know you make a wish

As I feel the Autumn breezes

Blow in a gentle kiss.

As beautiful as last I saw you

Forever you will remain

Though, the years will damage me

Eternally, you’ll stay the same.

This year will be so hard

For us you’ve left behind

To remember is bittersweet

Understanding, hard to find.

We know you are still with us

Each of us aware in unique ways

But, we just can’t help but long

You be with your family today.

Instead tonight I’ll search the skies

For the most dazzling fourteen stars

Then close my eyes and say a prayer

For you to listen to from my heart.

Remember us, dear Andrea

And seek us in our sleep

Where we will talk and laugh

And life will always keep.
