Another Christmas day : Christmas Poetry

written by Poet : peeper

Giving thanks, hold the gold, the holiday to remember. To remember family and our friends, of times we shared of times we spend. I remember spending hours in the lights of time, Twinkling stars and feasts to hold. Times of sledding, times of skating times we laughed and smiled. Where to dance where not to? The earth our joys could not hold. The horses we drove prizzies to toll, to farms and friends of old.   Years we did and years we shared, we came to the fold.   In our arms we held the joy for all to behold. On our feet we carried our deeds and shared amongst us all.   Now the calendar holds the dates for me to remember. Every year they come. Time again for me to see the past that will not be forgotten.   I see it from my window, I see it in this time. Another year, another time, To be forgotten. For those of old have no time for the slower than norm left behind. Life it stole my health you see left me with wheels that bind. Hero I be not much I can see in title of it I see. No time for me as they see I am safer behind. Cannot go a mountain toll, no more trails for me. My legs make me stay behind. I remember once we shared a hug a laugh or two just for me. Now I get a card or two wishing me a thought or two. Gee lucky me.   The calendar it tolls another thought for me, Again this time of year. To remember when you where with me, Not just a memory to me. So from my chair my legs they wither, Just like my memory. From my window I can see The memory this Christmas of once you where to me.
