Nail Polish

By: Julia L. Clark

Nacreous of garnet enamel pearls I stroke across my finger nails.

As soon as he gets in I want him to suck each finger with the saliva of his acetone.

Insecure because he is holding back his deepest of emotions for me.

Listen to the sad love songs of my heart beat my love is steel and silver chrome.

Pacific storms wash over me because the love I feel hasn’t expire when I breathe him in.

Opposite from what he feels my heart speaks in silence as shivering in quilt.

Listening to the waves of his voice has spoken to me in jaunty of splashes.

I have captured love in nudeness of undecided dictionary.

Special to me as I repeat his voice in completely different verses.

Hoping that love has spoken to me in clear meaning of beautiful nail polish.
