Thumbs Up : Childrens Poetry

I heard Dad say to Mum ,

"He always sucks his thumb."

He said to me one day,

"You'll suck that thumb away."

When I was six months old,

I got myself a hold .

I woke up one fine day,

and threw my hold away.

When I was just a boy,

Dad bought me a new toy.

Thank God for Dads and Mums,

for toys and holds and thumbs.
