The Smell Of Her Kiss : Love Poetry

written by Poet : Paul McCann

In a cold night of my youth  I wrapped my arms around her waist ..

We were young lovers locked together in a steamy embrace  .

What a shame she had bad breath , I can still smell her kiss today  .

As I offered her my chewing gum she turned and walked away .

It  left me with a bad taste , rejected I was  torn apart .

Young love still lingers like her bad breath way down deep in my heart .

I smelt the kiss of youth but once  it's perfume has worn me well .

It's the story of a tongue gone wrong because of a bad smell .

Kissed but once and left alone in the snow of a winters night .

I was young and shared my chewing gum , she never took a  bite  .
