The Prayer Of A Father : Religious Poetry

In the name of your son Jesus

I ask you to embrace.

The times I try
the times I cry
the times I cannot bear .

The times that come
the times that go 
the times that seem unfair .  

The times my words are never heard
the times I'm worried sick.

The times I feel left out
and I'm no ones favourite pick .

Father your love is always there,
It lives deeply within.

I know that children's demands Lord ,
never ever give in .

I am learning that you too

will answer me in good time .

Father I am asking you

to help these children of mine.

Help them to know you like I do,
keep them safe in your care.

Dear Father in heaven help them
when I cannot be there.
