In my childhood I saw the Apollo mission
As I sat in a room watching television .
There was a place for blast off and a place before ,
And the astronaut went in through the spaceship door .
He was wearing a suit that was too big for sport ,
It was too late to change and too late to abort .
Sitting on the launch pad waiting for the countdown .
Systems ready as it blasted off from the ground .
Zoom went the spaceship up into the milky way .
The astronaut thought ,
"Hey what a wonderful day .
Up here nothing matters and time seems to stand still .
A universe to explore and black holes to fill .
