Here's a thanks to all the brave soldiers there who fought the enemy .

They showed them they weren't afraid of death as they roared defiantly .

Like a tiny bird freed from its cage, they flew into the sky,

Through an angry wind and a smoky sky the bird refused to die.

But the days turned dark as some soldiers never heard the last post call.

Say a prayer for those soldiers where ever they are God bless them all.

With strong hearts and courage to go on until the battle was won.

Never stopping to count the cost of what ever damage was done.

We owe a lot to those soldiers who stood up to every test.

So here's to all the soldiers who put all our enemies to rest.

Thanks for the huge sacrifices, thanks for the services you gave.

Thanks for all the civilians whose lives you have protected and saved.

Thanks for bearing up the burden and for becoming like a slave .

Thanks for caring and daring to be a soldier ever so brave.
