Thank you Dad for helping me ,
And taking care of us .
You loved all our family
And never made a fuss .
I loved the things you said
When you spoke of folk you knew .
Distant relations that you had
Are part of my life too .
I'm thankful for the wild ones,
I'm thankful for sane ,
I'm thankful to have in my life
Your family name .
I'm thankful for all of them
Your sister and my Aunt .
Many relatives I remember ,
But some I can't .
I'm thankful for the times we shared
when I was a lad .
I'm lucky to know you're there
I'm really grateful Dad .
