Tea At Mums : Mother Poetry

written by Poet : Paul McCann

Sometimes I get so busy I can't call to see my Mum  ,
but I visit when I can and there so much that needs done .

There's grass that needs cut .-,

Walls that need paint and tea that's needs drunk .
I just love a cup of tea and a few biscuits to dunk .

She wishes there was something to take all her pains away .

I suggest a hot cup of tea possibly some Earl Grey .

Ok she'd say so I'd search for the tea bags and tea pots .

I look in the cupboards and all of the usual spots .

After an hour when nothing is found it's a big worry .

but you can't find anything there when you're in a hurry  .

I love my Mothers garden but it really makes me boil,

when I look and find her only kettles filled up with soil .

She's artistic in her ways and experiments with things ,

and just to see my Mother happy  what a joy it brings   .
