Talent is something
you can't hold in your hand .
You can run like the wind ,
as fast as you can,
Or fly like an eagle
and then win hands down .
It can lift you up ,
with your feet off ground .
It can push you along ,
where some never go .
If you're good and honest ,
your talent will grow .
To be strong willed ,
yet open to give and take .
Quiet as a mouse ,
and slippery as a snake .
If talent has a way ,
there's no need to plan.
Brave as a lion
but as gentle as a lamb .
With talented people
we can often smile ,
they entertain us ,
in magnificent style .
All their gifts are worthy ,
of a mention here ,
In sport , in music ,
in a chosen career .
With education , religion ,
in the arts ,
all those talented people,
are winning hearts .
Too hard to ignore ,
so we need to employ ,
a talent is something,
we can all enjoy .
