Sunday Morning Mass : Seasonal Poetry

written by Poet : Paul McCann

The bells ring out on Sunday,
its time to come to mass,
There's a Mass here every day
if anyone should ask.

Don't chitter chatter in mass
or else you'll get our glares.
There is always someone in there
saying lots of prayers.

Sometimes we stand and sing ,
together our voices ring, as one song to God beyond ,
Our Jesus Is The King .

The priest stands at the altar
as mass is being said,
A silver chalice offering
God the wine and bread.

Consecrated then into the body and the blood
of Jesus Christ ,
the lamb of God who we all receive

Then at Holy Communion within our heart we all believe ,

that we will share everlasting life with Jesus Christ
At Mass we remember Jesus and his sacrifice .

The bells ring out for Jesus because we are so proud,
Jesus knows us Catholics, we stand out in the crowd .
