Winter in the hutch is cold .
The drinking water's turned to ice .
Skip the rabbit shares her food ,
With a large family of mice .
The mice think Skip's their mother ,
And Skip's happy to oblige .
When the neighbours cat comes around ,
The mice find a place to hide .
The hungry cat looks in on Skip
And thinks she is all alone .
Skip is a quiet timid creature ,
Who keeps a tidy home .
