Simple Things : Childrens Poetry

Simple things for little boys,
things like simple toys or comic books.
Loving looks can bring so much joy
so if you have a little boy you call your own
love all his little ways
before he's fully grown.

Simple things for little girls
things like little bows for their little curls
polish for their little toes
take them into town shopping for some fancy clothes
as heaven knows how quickly a little girl grows .

Little boys and little girls love the simple things
like balls and dolls
or fluffy toys and water wings
colouring books, listening ears,
a helping hand
Yes simple little things are all they understand

Simple things are hard to see in this life we live
sometimes a second of your time is hard to give
Little ones need so much love
just to help them grow
Its always best to give the simplest things you know
