Sending Songs To Fill The Sky : Animal Poetry

What can compare to a singing bird

as it perches on a branch against the sky ?

With the tropical sun highlighting iridescent feathers that catches the eye .

Birds of bright plumage

in shades of blue and various hue stick together outback .

They have to wing it and sing it out naturally

and what a perfectly pitched act .  

No birdcage can hold a budgies song

or trap its natural flair of singing there .

What bar frame could ever keep a colourful structure of melody in the air .   

There is an ever present friend

lending its freedom and a sky that holds the sun .

When the time is right off they go

to adorn the trade winds steel cages have they none .
