Rockpools : Music Poetry

written by Poet : Paul McCann

Rock Pools

Eye fulls of rock-pools
where I sit and I’m so mindful of all of it
and escaping the drab everyday blab
to see a tiny crab
scurry and hide away
from the day that looks inside
to the glimmer of a place ,
so gentile is this space
where  the sunlight starts to fill
and the rock pools overspill
and flows out at my feet
where my eyes secretly meet
a reflection there that shines
and all that I have is time
to share with you here ,
tell the world to disappear
in the rock pool that I’ve found  .

I’d like to live in a rock pool
where no one could come and bother me
except for the sun and the moonshine
and the waves that roll in gently from the sea
and last but not least there would be you
for no one else would ever do
to live inside my rock pool
like urchins together you and me
 .

Here in the rock pools
there are shells and little stones as well
that dwell upon the floor
and still there’s so much more
like the ripple on the top
of the trickle that won’t stop
from an ocean that won’t end
like the time I’d like to spend
so come and take my hand
and try to understand
the beauty that I see
between you and me
and the rock pools that are there
for you and I to share
where we could hide away
from the crazy world today
and we’d bathe in the sunlight
til it fades into the  night

with no pushing and shoving , just living and loving , in rocks Pools by the sea
