Hello Jack I see your back at this time of year  .

 

Burn a flame to ward of the evil that I fear  .

 

On Halloween when those departed may come back .  

 

I'm counting on the company of pumpkin Jack .

 

Through his flickering hollow eyes he watches all ,

 

he knows each dancing shadow that runs up the wall .

 

He looks at the clock in the silence of night  .

He hears the whisper of those who keep out of sight  .

 

If you look inside his head you'll see its burnt black .

 

When Halloween's gone say goodbye to Pumpkin Jack .
