On The Road From Bundanoon : Divorce Poetry

written by Poet : Paul McCann

Since we’ve been apart I’ve had a broken heart

so I thought that I’d drive over in  my car

and as drove along I thought lifes a lonely ride

and I’ve already gone way too far

and the truth is you see ,there’s no one here but me

and I’m like a blind man  who’s never saw before ,

so I try to think of you and somehow hold on to the only thing that matters anymore

oh how cold it is on a sunny afternoon

on the road from Bundanoon

I’m thinking did it have to end so soon

God I wish you here with me

before the rising of the moon

the day is nearly done and you’re the only one

who can put an end to the heartache that’s begun

for its you that makes it right

but you’re so far out of sight

and I’m holding on to shadows in the night  .
