It was one of those Halloweens
that was twisted and cruel
The car broke down in the country ,
I had ran out of fuel .
As I walked along the road
I heard this strange screaming noise .
Then suddenly I was surrounded
by some girls and boys .
Dressed like zombies they surprised me
some wore skeleton suits .
Some had fangs in their mouth ,
another wore Frankenstein boots .
There were witches and ghouls ,
ghosts and monsters surrounding me ,
"Trick or treat " they said
and I answered them ,
"Just let me be. "
In answer to that they tied me up
and left me lying there .
I told them I was cold
and they left me in the night air .
Suddenly in the background
I saw something catch alight ,
they had torched my car
and it burnt all that Halloween night .
Then in the morning
I saw all the damage that was done.
I shouted for help
and hoped that a passers by would come .
I felt angry at first
and then a sense of pity there .
Suddenly I awoke and realized I had a nightmare .
