Night Carnival : Childrens Poetry

written by Poet : Paul McCann

There used to be a carnival when the gypsies came to town ,

And once or twice my Dad brought me there to have a look around .

I walked through the fairground mesmerised with everything I saw

Just like a child in wonderland I was totally in awe   .

My Dad gave me some coins to spend , so I chanced my luck that night

On a side show attraction that was flashing a coloured light  .

Its hard to win some money at a carnival passing through

You're better off in a bumper car to take a ride or two .

Carnival rides are magic but you've got to get in the queue  ,

Scream if you want because everyone else there seems to do .
