My Sunshine : Pet Poetry

My Sunshine

They couldn’t catch Caribbean Sunshine

when he trotted around the track , 

they couldn’t catch him ,

for he was born to win ,

an out and out  champion  .

 Now they’ve sent Sonny out in a paddock

where the wild birds they perch on a fence

and the children they come

to ride and have fun

and Sonny’s Llife

has only  begun .

Hey there my Sunshine isn’t life okay ,

being far away , beyond Oxley Hill

where time and life stand still

and friendly people who

will take good care of you

my Sunshine .

My Sunshine

  When you’re out on the road with Sunshine

the time it just slips away ,

and sound of the clock it goes clip-pity-clop

 and the road never seems to stop .

Got a friend who’s a horse called Sunshine

and we go where the road knows

no end

and where the wild wind blows

the gold wattle grows .

There’s a song and here’s how it goes

Hey there my Sunshine isn’t life okay ,
