Mother of Joy may we never destroy the life we have been given
May we learn to enjoy life and appreciate those who are living .
Protect the innocence of childhood and may the gifts freely given ,
Be a joyful sound that is heard by the angels of God in heaven .
Mother of joy may we always employ our time well spent here on earth
May we be positive about life and discover what that is worth
For happiness and dignity live together in the heart and mind ,
Dear Mother of Joy help us all to be more understanding and kind .
Mother of joy its hard to enjoy the fruits of life when we’re abused
May we find protection in your arms and for those who have been refused
The basic rights of life and for all those who have been treated like dirt
bring your joy to them Mother so that they may be healed from all their hurt
