Marking Papers : Inspirational Poetry

  Before he marked the papers ,

the teacher briefly paused ,

To appreciate the work that every student does .

Some are colourful

 and well presented works of art ,

Others are rough and ready ,

 while some don't know where to start .

Then one is exceptionally gifted

 more than the rest .

Distinction is a word

reserved for the very best .

The teacher smiled and on the page

 his comment was made ,

Excellent work ,

well done ,

 this is high above the grade .

In every school

there's at least one gifted student .

Academically and advanced ,  

without effort spent .

With brains to burn,

 its easy to learn ,

 that's what they say .

Top of the class and top of the show ,

 he'll do ok .
