Mammys Thick Ear : Funny Poetry

written by Poet : Paul McCann

Oh Mammy do I really have to go

Out to fill the coal bucket in the snow .

For the last time I went to fill it up ,

I slipped in the dogs dirt and cursed the pup ,

I fell on the coal heap and cursed again .

Then that nosey beak next door what's his  name .

Said "I'm  telling  your Mother about that "

I got a thick ear .

The dog got a pat .

Oh Mammy do I really have to go .

out there in the yard to clean out the poe .

For the last time I went to scrub it out,

That leak spurted out from the water spout .

and soaked through me from my head to my skin

I couldn't see nothing with the drenching.
then I ended up getting a  thick ear,

All because of what you thought you did hear .

Oh Mammy do I really have to go ,

And open the door for that so and so  .

The last time he came he gave me a jeg ,

One in the arm another in my leg .

Then when he asked me about my thick ear

You said he got it from his Mammy dear   .

Genetic is part of the human  race  .

He laughed until he went red in the face .
