As the new year is drawing near
and the old year's about to leave,
I remember what I forgot then
harvest it on New Years Eve .
Making hay while the sun shines and reapinng in a richer man's wine in fields of plenty where blistered hands have dug deep for harvest time.
Some people will have a famine while other have their harvest's full .
For some kids there will be a new door to walk in through ,
-starting school .
Parents to be will find new life
as older folk prepare to leave .
Yes it's always a good time to remember things
on new years eve .
