I avoided all the crowds ,
living up there in the clouds .
I was looking at life with the stars in my eyes ,
but one day I realized ,
I was pleasantly surprised ,
suddenly I could see
that Love had grounded me .
No longer lost in space
in some far off distant place
feeling alienated and confused .
In the town where I come from ,
I can talk to anyone ,
a freeman I’ve become
because love has grounded me .
I’m free to do what I want to do ,
I’m accepted by someone
who loves me for who I really am ,
a stranger here in a foreign land ,
for there’s nobody could understand
what it was like for me

and you’ve grounded me deeply in your love .
