Lost Sons Of Erin : Lyric Poetry

written by Poet : Paul McCann

Lost Sons Of Erin
By Paul McCann

See the cold cruel sea how she's taken from me ,
my sons from the shore and no more do I see,
the wind through their hair or rain beat their face ,
it's too long they've been gone,
since they've left this old place .
Won't you come home to me,
back to where you belong .
The lost sons of Erin it's too long you've been gone ,
come back before the dusk ,
at the dawn of the day ,
when the mist it has gone ,
and the sun's on the bay ,
with the salty sea spray .
The birds up in the sky ,
soar so high on their own .
Is that the reason why ,
you left me all alone by the cold cruel sea.
So very long ago .
Oh lost sons of Erin please come back home to me .
