Listen To Your Grandma : Funny Poetry

written by Poet : Paul McCann

Listen to your grandma she's talking to you ,

don't ever grow old cause once you do, you're through .

Well if you get old then try not to get sick ,

I know what its like to have to live with it .

So what can I do in this place where I live ,

I need some more time  but it's so hard to give .

I'm trying to see straight but it's getting dim ,

sometimes its hard child , but I'm not giving in .

I'm trying to walk but I'm risking a fall .

I'm crying for help but I don't want to crawl .

One's true colours show when your backs to the wall .

When I'm walking in darkness each step is small .

If I stumble and fall my old bones could break .

But in good faith I'll step out for heavens sake .

So if I go down you might hear me screaming .

then this saving grace could be your redeeming .

Remember your old Grandma and what she told

and promise that you won't get sick when you're old .

Listen to your grandma now and off you go .

Goodbye child ,  it was nice we could  say hello .
