Listen To Saint Patrick : Inspirational Poetry

 If you could just hear Saint Patrick talking to you , he'd say  .

"Put down your guns Ireland or else we're through .

I'm sick of the  fighting between orange and green .

Its time to make up now and forget what has been.

God loves us all so we must all love in return .

There are no more stones to throw

 or houses to burn .

Thirty two Irish counties are crying for peace .

 
Love will unite us and allow trouble to cease .

Listen to what is beating deep down in your heart .

Now is the time that a peaceful future can start .

As one and not divided Ireland must be .

One in our vision Ireland, listen to me .

Something older than history much wiser too.

Is younger than love and its calling out to you .

you People of Ireland from North and South .

Peace is the word that I want to place in your mouth .

Hold on to this one word and never let it go .

Peace is a river in Ireland long may it flow .

May it flow throughout Ireland into the sea,

and to all troubled shores where ever they may be.

As Patron of Ireland I'll  leave you with one thing,

My echoing voice in your ear , long may it ring .
