If we seek love we take the chance of being hurt ,
and we do .
We try and try again ,
and in the end that's what pulls us through .
We explore the world around us ,
from the first moment we crawl .
To scale a mountainside ,
we take the risk of having a fall .
Life's a gamble we take a chance
on everything we do .
Sometimes we stick out our neck,
risking we will be cut in two .
As we drowned our tears we can ride on the crest of a wave .
We may reach out to others,
we can let go and we can save .
In the lottery of life everyone of us has a stake .
Being human means we are guilty of making a mistake .
Think of it,
there are so many possibilities
to choose .
Take pot luck ,
for there's a lot to win when there's nothing to loose .
We could inherit wealth or benefit by good health and yet ,
we can also get sick and end up bankrupt and deep in debt .
Like Humpty Dumpty we sit on a wall ,
and fall to the ground .
We ride the up's and down's of life's
crazy merry-go-round .
As dangerous as it is ,
we say quick get on while you can .
It's hard for some to believe in things
that they don't understand .
Stepping out in faith
or laying down your own life for a friend .
It's a gamble all right ,
but life always wins out in the end .
