Winter is a time to share and appreciate simple things in our lives .
See the warmth of our breath in the crisp morning air .
What an inner therapy comforts us to sip warm soup or sit before a fire and feel the love of those around us there .
Smell the wood burning and see the frost and snow .
Hear the coughs and sneezes , feel the woollen blankets and touch a winters moment .
Find time to reflect on what has been in the past and discover peace to adjust to what is going on in the present .
Life changes when winter comes and some of us feel the cold and suffer pain which can erase the value of this time and space .
When winter comes we subconsciously can grow an extra skin to help us cope with the challenges that we might have to face .
Each challenge can bring us encouragement and hope .
Mediate or medicate
There is an end to the cold and lonely path .
What joy it is to feel a warm hand and to go walking through an icy winters day with a friend who can make us laugh .
Winters chill reminds us of the need to stay warm in the dormant days when our thoughts are shrouded by the ghosts of seasons past .
There is an energy in winter that helps us overcome
the difficulties that life has presented ,
and long may it last .
