It's becoming clear why we're proud to be American .

on the fourth of July there's a feeling we all understand .

Without questioning why we trust in God or follow that star .

Our origins have brought us home to the place now where we are .

 

Its becoming clear that freedom is a privilege we share .

 We don't own it , its not something we've lost or found its just there .

It doesn't cost much to say I love this land of liberty .

There are many reasons why in America we are free .

 

Its becoming clear to the world we don't want to live with fear  .

Here in America civil rights and justice we hold dear .

Its time to clean up our world so the pastures are fresh and green .

Today we are beginning to live the American dream .

 

Its becoming clear there's so many things we have to discuss .

The future's in our hands , so lets make it safe , its up to us .

That is the story for hope and glory we can lead the way .

We walk the talk , the doors not closed in America today .
