If you've never been to Melbourne , then you won't have heard them say,
"Yea, there used to be a breeze you know, before it blew away."
When you're on a Melbourne tram no one see's the clouds go grey ,
so don't take the eyes out of their head or take their dream away .
It only rains at night, in the morning it's all gone away .
People who live in Melbourne don't think that their weather is strange ,
it spit's lightly until the dusk comes , then all nightlong it rains .
Storms never come during the daytime to give Melbourne a lash .
They never see the thunder or hear the lightening go flash .
With each new day, the people say , it happened again last night.
Things could be different if maybe , for once black could be white .
But no, it never rains in Melbourne , no matter what you think ,
everyone likes to wear sunny's and no one sees them blink .
