I Say Sister You're Ok : Family Poetry

 

 

Thanks for being my sister and for the memories too .

Thanks for encouraging the best things in me to come through .

Thanks for ignoring the unkind things I may have said then   .

Thanks for understanding and for always being my friend      

As my sister through life I've enjoyed sharing your company .

Thanks for the cool words you said in the ears that were burning .

Thanks for those things we did as we were growing and learning,

In stormy times thanks for helping to turn tide my way .

Thank you for the colourful language that we used to say .     

After all these years I'm learning to be thankful for you .

Yes sister you are special with all of the things you do .

I'm thanking you sister , that's what I really want to say ,

You make me happy ,thanks for that .

Sister you are ok  .
